The End of a Busy Summer

I had a very busy summer this year.  It all started when a lady associated with the local farmers' market contacted me about setting up with my crafts.  One thing led to another and I ended up working two farmers' markets.  I sold produce ~ some from my garden and a lot that I purchased from the local Amish people.  My daughter, Kristen and I made jams and jellies to sell with some of the produce.  I also sold baked goods that the girls and I made ~ fruit pies, yeast rolls, cinnamon rolls, fried pies, nut breads of different types and various types of cookies and as it began to get colder, peanut brittle.  We sold a few crafts in addition to the produce, jams and jellies, and baked goods.

Even though the farmers' markets have ended, we still haven't been able to slow down.  The fall/winter/holiday craft shows have started.  The girls and I have been busy crocheting to fill orders and to have plenty of products to offer at the craft shows.  We have a big one coming up this weekend, November 9, 10 and 11, at the mall in a town about 15 miles from where we live.

I want to share with you some of our newest creations.  My husband, Glen, made the large rustic planter into a wishing well planter.  It is so cute!  He hasn't had time to do as much crafting lately since he managed to find a full-time job.  I am so very thankful for his job and that it is close to home!!!

Someone stopped by my booth at the farmers' market and liked my Furious Bird Hat but wanted it in Jayhawks colors.  They were pleased with the results.

This black and yellow hat is our first Mohawk Hat.  It was a custom order.  Then we began making other colors.  The burgundy and gold is one of my favorites.  We can do them in any colors.  They are popular done in school colors.



My daughter, Kayelyn, made the puppy hat to give as a birthday gift to a boy in her Sunday School class.  The Elmo hat and the Horse hat were custom orders.

 


Our line of Kitty products have been our number one sellers.  We had an order for a Kitty scarf.  It turned out so cute.  Kayelyn is making more for the craft show this weekend.

We had an order for a Grinch Hat in adult size.  This is what we created.

I made this Turtle Photo prop for an order.  It was much easier than I thought it would be.  It turned out so cute.  I will be making more of these.

Sometimes we just like to create.  My daughter, Kristen, was tired of putting Mohawks on the hats.  She made these, except I put on the braids and made the pompom.

Christmas will be here before we know it.  I hope yours is blessed with time spent with family and friends.  Help out the crafters by purchasing something homemade to give as gifts.
